They said on the news gusts possibly reaching 90-95 mph in northern Scotland and also Northern Ireland.

Here,  two of my heavy stone tubs of Dahlias blew over during the night, which surprised me as those pots are heavy.   Still,  could have been a lot worse ey.

I have just seen one of those metal  car wheel discs  laying in my driveway!   Wonder how that got there?   It's not mine.   :hmm:

I'm wondering how Raven is?
We haven't heard from her this morning and I read a lot of power got disconnected up there.

She's fine Mups.  She'll be busy helping those wild campers tie down their motorhomes.

I'm fine Mups just been helping himself with the clear up. We still had winds at 50mph most of the morning, thank goodness they're gone, but it's raining like crazy now. Power didn't go out that's a relief.

You were lucky then..
Mups lost all her power.. !!!

Yes thanks Klondike.

I spoke to my electrician today and told him about the top cooker of my double oven is not heating to temperature suddenly,  and he said that could have tripped the switch off.
Everything else seems to be running OK  (touch wood),  so he's probably right about the cooker doing it.
He reckons an element's blown.

I have decided to get a price on repair first,  before I start looking for a replacement cooker.  Only thing is,  I phoned the repair people twice this afternoon and left messages, but they haven't called back yet,  so will try again in the morning.
