Soooooo, Is everyone ready to be blown about? It's quite calm here just now but I'm dreading when it does hit.. I hate storm winds and the damage they cause. We will be outside later this morning securing everything as according to the forecast we're getting over 60mph winds later today and 70mph on Saturday. Just getting ready for the pool good job it's Friday as I wouldn't want to drive the coast road into Thurso in the storm.
Hope you all don't get hit too bad.

Just a bit damp here today. It has rained and was spitting a little when I brought the bin in. Will probably drive to the gym. Although I usually walk I prefer the showers in there to one outside walking home.

Lucky you Scrumpy.  :upvote:

Mike I think the Central Belt is to be affected too, maybe not so bad as the Costal areas though, but bad enough. Stay Safe.  :worried:

Not raining, but the ground's a bit wet here.

It is what I would call a bit 'breezy here as I write,  and hasn't stopped raining all day,  but its around tea time and on through the night the winds are forecast to pick up to between 40 - 50 apparently.

Unfortunately it looks like Scotland will get the worst of it though Raven -  as usual - with much higher winds up your way.
Stay safe, gal.

Thanks Mups we have secured everything we can and the winds fair getting up. Went over to the beach a wee while ago and the ocean was making a hell of a racket, with big waves roaring in. In for the night now, but will see if I can get over to the beach tomorrow for a while, I love a stormy ocean but it's not always possible to get near.

Windy here now but not outrageously so. There was a yellow alert issued whatever that might mean. Nothing to the public really but maybe some organisations have come procedures to follow. Such as getting their washing in maybe.

OMG it's getting wild out there, the house has been shaking with some of the gusts. It's making me more than a bit nervous. There's going to be damage that's for sure.  [2010]

Our daughter came for lunch today, it's OH's birthday.  Then she drove to North Yorkshire for a couple of days away with friends.  Very heavy rain and string winds.  We were very relieved when she let us know she'd arrived.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

No wind here, but it has been pouring down all afternoon.  The pond is now full to the brim.

Stay safe Raven & Mike  :upvote:   Scotland always gets the short straw.  It's very windy here now, I've moved all the plant pots to safety    Lots of rain today too

I saw a Met Office video. It looks like there is a double dose up Raven's way with the evening being worse than the morning encore. None of us get off Scot free (odd expression in the circumstances) but as is usually the case with these winter storms Scotland gets a bigger share of it than further south.

Hope everything stays up Raven both at the farm and your place in Perth. Looks like Mike gets some too but not as wild.
