A car question please

Could well be. I have not seen undisturbed pipework kink or leak at the joints. The deciding thing is how strong the jets are. Mups says weak but is she being confused by them being low on the screen.

I have had  to adjust where they hit the screen a fair few times over the years. I even had to on my current car which is in its third year. I've never had muck in the jets which couldn't be cleared with a pin in the jets but that may be because I've been careful about what I top the reservoir up with.

One thing I'll mention if they do need adjusting is to be careful to not poke the needle in too far. The jet is a small ball and if what is poked in goes too far it will stop the ball being turned because it goes right through.

Mups..
Just give the windscreen a good wipe before you go anywhere..
Don't go near lorries or farm tractors... and if you are lucky you might not need to spray the windscreen.... Sorted...
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I'd be wary of having no screen wash available. It wouldn't stop me using the car but I'd fix it asap.

Put multiple layers of clingfilm over the windscreen.  When it gets dirty, simply peel a layer off.

Trouble is,  if it rains.  Then the car in front sends spray up off the road.

That's a good point, Klondike,   you could be right.   Maybe it is not the power of the water at all,  maybe it does just want re-directing higher up the window.

Those holes are miniscule though,  only the size of the pin I poked in,  so how would I see a ball if I can't see down the holes?  They are not big holes you could easily see down.   It's the passenger side which is the worst one.
Think perhaps I will rake out the handbook and see if there is anything about the jets in there.

Jobs a good 'un? Finished.

Still can't find washer jets? Book in with Specsavers or alternately surrender driving licence.
Mine are under the edge of the bonnet hood just in front of the windscreen.

You may need a jet pricker if the holes are very small.

I can we're going to have trouble with you today, young man.

dextrous63

I'm stressed, and thus lashing out to destress.  What are friends for, if not to be insulted and abused?😉😊
