King Charles paid  nearly £13 million pounds in tax last year.
The POW £7.5 million

But
The sovereign grant ( former civil list) has gone up to £132.1 million
Next year it is estimated  to be £137.9 million
Last year it was around £80 million
That is one heck of an increase .

Meanwhile the Kings personal fortunes has gone up too by about 10%
Much more than inflation
Much more than most pay rises

We have a country that can't find the money to maintain a proper defence force .
Why do we need to give public money to a family that is already immensely rich .

However taxpayers can pay out £370 million for renovations for Buckingham Palace

Meanwhile Charles and William are two of the richest men in the world whose portfolios of properties makes them into the billionaire category.

Charles unlike his poorer  subjects who pay 40% on anything over £325k paid no Inheritance on the millions and vast property portfolio  left to him by his mama .

Nor will William when he inherits .

All this and the country still fawns on this incredibly privileged mediocre family.

Not me, I'm no Royalist. I see Harry is planning a visit along with the kids this time. Wonder if they're to meet their grandfather.
