Just reading that students from Gaza can come to study in UK universities
AND BRING THEIR FAMILY WITH THEM    Once they're here they won't go back, I find this very worrying.
I assume the student will be in full time education and not working, so who will house and support their family ?
This bloody country is crazy it really is . :yell:

Mind you, their skill base of digging tunnels might prove invaluable for extending the London Underground.

Or reopening the mines for when the wind don't blow and there is no sun  - usually big chunks of January and February

I still live in hope that after 2029, they and every other piece of **** will be on their bikes.
If they forget the name of the country they have come from, send them back to France...
in secret, of course.

Agreed.  If we're going down, then best to go down fighting.

It's about time that the UK (& the West) was recognised for all the beautiful things it's added to the planet.

Contrast these things with those that others want to escape from and we have negligible relative guilt.

If someone wants to come to the UK, then do so legally and show that an acceptance of "our" ways is better than the one that one wants to escape from.

If one wants to whinge and/or take a stance other than the prevailing mood, then jog on.

But our gutless leaders might go down but it won't be fighting
Thank you for the days, the days you gave me

Not us.  Our useless government on our behalf.  One of two possibilities, either:
- they simply don't know what to do, despite many suggestions from others; or
- they intend to make our country a third-world hell-hole, though I have yet to figure out why.

Perhaps they hate the British people?

It certainly looks that way .

Don't have such a negative view, please.
My granddaughters wanted to study in the UK, but compared to other European countries it's much too expensive, above all since you left the Erasmus programme. They are studying now in the Netherlands. On the whole students are eager to learn as much as possible.

Did your granddaughters want to bring their parents with them to England  ?    The ' negativity' isn't about the students, but the fact they can bring family with them  !

Well said.

I'm sure that if you came to live in the UK, you too would quickly develop a negative view.
