Children being born at present will be, by then, around 40.  I wonder what the country will be like for them.  I suspect that many might well be emigrating as things change, perhaps long before they are 40... if they are lucky.  I expect that, unless changes are made, all cities and large towns will have a mosque on every street corner; many churches will have closed (or been converted!).

I must add that it does upset me thinking about how many of our men have died in two world wars, who gave their lives in the hope of a bright future for our country.  I wonder what it would have been like if the Nazis had taken control of the UK and, of course, most of Europe.  What changes would have been made?

Of course, regardless of that, the country is very likely to be even poorer than it is today, with comparatively fewer opportunities.  I wonder how much Reform UK can do in another four years from now, assuming that they are elected to government.  I'm sure the situation will, by then, be even worse than it is now.

Wouldn't surprise me if he'd landed himself a permanent job in the Home Office, or better still the Department for Education while they were still looking for him.
