I might go to four from three.  Currently use 15 letters in three words and it works relatively well. Mmm. Thinks.

The letters I don't cover are Q F J Z X V B one or more of which do still crop up quite often.

The 4th word contains rarer letters in the main than the first 3 and I don't use it until there are definitely no easy unique ones I can complete
