Wow that looks menacing !
We've had rain here and it's pretty dark but the wind hasn't turned up yet.

Scrumpy

We're getting very strong winds Mike 75-80 mph gusts. Not much rain though. We went for a nose at the Front and had a latte each and watched the huge waves.
The police were out at the harbour trying to get some silly ass off his surf board. There's always one. :nooo:
The ferries are off here, the airport closed, no trains north of Perth, roads closed with fallen trees and a lot of power outs........Nice eh.

It has been a bit windy up here, but nothing out of the ordinary.  I don't know what all the whingeing is about.

Oh? Well pardon me for being worried about damages to our home among other things. Just because you got off light, these storms are always bad up here.

Mups

Saw a bit about it on the news down here today, Raven.
It showed the rough sea, and trees laying across narrow lanes.

Is it calming down yet?

Raven

Yes it's eased up but we're supposed to be getting more high winds tomorrow for a while. Several fences down and a barn door is nowhere to be seen, several roof tiles off too. But it's all fixable.

we were lucky here - not so much Floris as Doris! By lunchtime the rain stopped and it became bright and sunny. It was windy, judging by the tree perhaps 25-30 mph, but nowhere neat the 45-57 forecast. OTOH, apparently only a few miles away there are trees and power lines down.

We had strong winds late yesterday, calmed down a bit this morning, but still too windy for the garden brolly !

One of out small (potted) olive trees got blown over.  That's about the extent of damage round here.

I feel for those she have felt the full effect of storm "floral funeral display" as I prefer to call it.

Can't even imagine how a barn door can have gone missing.

Oh, I think you got off lightly.  Here, one of Marge's container plants got blown over.
To make matters worse, it is now drizzling, so I am unable to go out and pick up the plant.

Honestly.  These whinging Scots really have no idea of the hardship the likes of us have to go through at times.

Not our fault that they choose to live in some god forsaken part of the world.
