How often do you clean your Mobile phone

Mups

I've just been reading about our mobiles.
They say smartphones are likely to be crawling with germs,  in fact 10 times more germs than a public toilet seat!

Phones are often smothered with E.Coli and Streptococcus,  which can easily lead to food poisoning.

Most mobiles receive constant handling but are not often likely to be cleaned,  and then we press them up to our faces.

Many people don't even seem to mind using their phones whilst sitting on the loo  -  which I personally think is horrible.   You surely would not chat to anyone standing there while you were on the loo,  so why do it on a phone?   If the phone rings while I'm in the loo, they can ring back or leave a message thank you.

You remember when we had the Covid scares in the early days?  Along with the masks and distancing,  wiping trolley handles,  some even wiping everything they bought  before they packing it away,  and yet how many people cleaned their phones?

10 times more bugs than a toilet seat though,  that's a bit of an eye opening though,  isn't it.

Any time I shove it in my pocket it gets a bit of a wipe over😉

I haven't read about vast numbers waiting in A&E with mobilitis. To my mind the bigger danger for many must be getting run over.

Sounds like a slow news day story to me.

Ashy

I didn't know you were supposed to. I remember a colleague dropping one into a bucket of paraffin once, it never worked again.

I give mine an occasional wipe over with a wet wipe,   same as I do my steering wheel if its been in the garage for servicing or whatever.
Sounds a bit paranoid,  but I am far from it.

I don't clean mine either, yet first thing I do when I come home is wash my hands.  I never hold a trolley by the handle, always by the metal part, so maybe I'm suffering from selective paranoia

The real bug bear for me is public toilet doors.  I wrap my hand inside my coat/fleece sleeve before grabbing a handle to pull them open.

Scrumpy

I push a toilet door with my foot or elbow..
I never sit on a public toilet seat.. I stand up ..
Everyone in the ladies room can hear me going to wee..

I suppose one could use one's mobile phone to push a toilet door open, although balancing one's buttocks on a phone screen placed on the loo seat while having a wee may be a bit precarious.  In fact, potentially embarrassing if the camera accidentally got turned on😬😬

Are you struggling with the meaning of both concepts? 😬😬

I wonder what you'd make of my attempt to recreate the dam busters when I go to the loo😬😬
