So do the Scots, apparently.
Good caber-tossing weather!

Your side of the Pennines! My daughter in law sent it.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

It was -3 here in Wiltshire this morning .
My dog loves the cold .
Must be his Scottish heritage ( he's a border collie )

Raven

Dageus used to love the snow, played like a puppy in it.

Alex

I love that last photo of Dageus, waiting to come back in !

Raven

He knew to wait at the door till he got a toweling to get the snow off.

It's been below freezing in North Lincolnshire for a few days.

Minus 4 yesterday & minus 5 today.

It's scary to learn that the UK had only a week's supply of gas & the National Grid power demand rose to 50GWh which is 6GWH above the predicted operating maximum.

We were within a whisker of having power cuts, which equals no heating, as there's minimal power, 11%, being generated by all the renewables combined.
Make every day count, each day is precious.

Thankyou, I do miss Dageus so very much. He was almost glued to my side, 99% of places I went he went as well, even if it was just to Tesco and he waited in the car. He knew that he didn't get to go with me first thing (pool) and he didn't try to get out the back door with me, but if I was meeting my girlfriends for lunch he would sulk when told he had to stay, he'd climb onto the couch, sigh loudly and glare at me.

I didn't realise the power situation was that bad Daisi.

My garden thermometer was just touching  -6  this morning!   I think that's the coldest I've ever seen here.    I won't be going anywhere till this ice melts a bit more.

I feel sorry for the dogs walking today,  its a wonder their pads don't stick to the pavements.
People put coats on them,  but they've still got bare feet!
