Quote from: GrannyMac on December 31, 2024, 07:06:59 AMMy 50+ kids were talking about walking home from school and sitting by the hot air vents, we had warm air central heating in that house, and they loved it.

My mum lined the edges of our single glazed windows with stick on foam draught excluder strips. We also had really heavy curtains on the bay window of the sitting room. East coast Scotland could get pretty cold.  I don't take our cosy house for granted.

By gum, GrannyM,  that's a lot of kids!

Quote from: Alex on December 31, 2024, 05:37:22 PMLast year I bought a hoodie from Amazon (on Raven's recommendation) it's been so good I bought another one this winter in a different colour  :upvote:   I'd hate to go back to ice on the inside of the windows.

I still have my warm fleece hoodie thing, I wear it most evenings over my pj bottoms, and before I get dressed in the mornings. So glad I have it just now as it's so cold here. 🥶

Haha! 😂😂. Only two in reality.

Heavy snow here Sunday, I made it out yesterday on foot, paddling in places.  It's snowed again overnight.  Let's hope it doesn't freeze.

Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Raven

This was the road this morning (7am) on my way into town to the pool. :worried:

Blimey,  that looks bleak, Raven.

I still like to build a snowman if we get enough snow,  it makes me smile having him sitting in my garden.

Oh bugger,  I tried to put a picture up of my last snowman,  but I don't know where it's gone!
Bah!  I shall never get the hang of this.

Ooer,  I've done it . . . .  well sort of.   It's a bit dark, and he  seems to have lost one eye!

Raven

Your wee lass is getting a wet bahookie, she doesn't look too chuffed lol.

Wonderful pics from both Raven and Mups..

We haven't had enough snow here to make a snowball .. Love the snowman.. and ,of course, the dog..
Raven..  How I admire your driving in such nasty conditions.. My little motor would be frightened if I took her out in such hazardous conditions..

I was driving Dunc's big Land Rover, I take it to the pool in the mornings while it's bad weather. I got rid of my Yeti 4x4 as Dageus poor old mani could no longer get into it. I couldn't lift him as he was over 6 stone, so I changed it for a small car. THEN just 3 weeks later I lost him  I actually went to see if I could get the Yeti back but it had sold within a few hours, sooooo I'm stuck with the wee car....For Now.

This was one of my son's dogs yesterday, she loves snow!  The other hadn't ventured into the garden preferring to stay in the warm.
