Did anyone else see on the news tonight,  about those two evil, vile women who have been jailed for joining  some 'Monkey torture ring'?

I couldn't believe it.   I have never heard of such a thing,  have you?

These obscene specimens of humans,  were buying baby monkeys from abroad,  then filming themselves torturing them, and  posting the videos on the internet.    They made over 150 videos of it all!!

How do these sort of thoughts even get into anyone's head?

These poor babies were filmed being tied up and hit,  tortured, and even burnt sometimes.
Imagine the pain those little souls  must have gone through each day,  and all for a crowd of sicko's perverted amusement.

And what punishment were they given?   2 bloody years for one, and 15 months for the other one.
I can't tell you how much I hate people like them.

Incomprehensible. There are some really sick sad folk out there. Sentencing sounds far too lenient. That woman got longer for a post on Facebook.

Raven

When it comes to cruelty cases I have said for years that the punishment should fit the crime.....Always.
Whatever was done to the animal should be done to the abuser. No matter what.
Those poor wee souls.  Why won't our courts Man Up and deal with crime properly.

QuoteJailing the women, Judge James Burbidge KC described their behaviour as "deplorable, abhorrent and sadistic".
He said their offences went against any sense of compassion and were "beyond comprehension for most of society".
I think the brevity of the sentencing is "beyond comprehension for most of society".

Sorry to bang on about it, but if we haven't the capacity to incarcerate people appropriately on our shores, then outsourcing to other countries who would probably be cheaper and welcome the income (possible different use of some of our international development funds to mutual benefit) seems eminently sensible.

It's just beyond belief, these people aren't safe to be in society.

2 years in a UK prison!! This is a prison.

Yes,  and they will probably get out in half that time for 'good behaviour,'  then go back to continuing their sordid pastime all over again.

I feel this is a whole chain of people involved.  e.g.

The people capturing these baby animals in the first place.
The people paying for them.
The ones abusing them.
And all the sicko's  in this so-called 'torture ring'  who get off on watching these videos.

Touble is,  there are no sufficient deterrent for crime here.

The sad thing is that people pay to watch cruelty.. Whether it be against animals, children or adults..  Bastards..
I am not a cruel person.. BUT.. I could, without any hesitation , torment these cruel (humans)...
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I find that disgustingly cruel.  They'll probably claim mental problems.

Never mind a few days in prison, in my world they would be subject to poetic justice: treat them exactly the way they have treated the monkeys.

I saw one sicko messaged these people and said  -  "Can't wait to see one put in boiling water."
These babies also had their fingers cut off.
Another was beaten daily for a whole year.

It is far beyond a normal person's comprehension.

In a way I wish I'd never seen all this.   It makes me cry.

Alex

Sorry to say this has been going on for a few years globally.  Normal people just can't understand how anyone could do this to defenceless animals.  It's even more disturbing that women could do this.

dextrous63

Please could someone defend not having a death sentence in certain cases?

As I have posted elsewhere, do you use two house bricks or a rusty blade?
