If we banned Muslims from driving, there'd be a lot less traffic.

On the other hand, what a good idea.

There is a phone app for that. I use Google Opinion Rewards which gives you a little cash for each one question survey you answer and had built a few quid so I got that as I was interested. The various questions aren't that taxing but the anticipating dangers ones were - there is a window of time in the little video when you can press the button (or whatever it was quite a while back I tried it) and I was failing - I saw the impending problem too soon so was outside the window. In real life all you usually need do is spot the BMWs, Audis and taxis and that is 90% of the problems spotted.

and virtually no taxis.

Since we'll all be riding bikes to get around, there'll be no need for taxis

What has the pensioner hating government got to throw at us ?

Michael Rolls

well, make it difficult to keep driving, stop the WFA, make the OAP means tested, boost inheritance tax, allow more creep in IT levels, and I am sure that they are seeing how else the sods can hit us
Thank you for the days, the days you gave me

Will we see pensioner riots? At least we'd be in the warm in jail.

Yes, good point.
The one advantage of all this is Son of a Toolmaker is rapidly turning more people against his party.  They'll be gone in 2029.

I've never really understood why politicians are unwilling to answer the questions put to them.

As you may recall, Sunak asked Starmer to publish the assessment report of the predicted effect of removal of the fuel payment.  Instead of doing so, he instead bleated on about black hole and 14 years etc etc.  This, IMHO, is more blasé and contemptuous towards the electorate than just being honest.

As explained fully many years ago in Yes Minister it is vital to answer any question with the prepared answer you'd have given to the question you'd have preferred.

Excellent plan.  I can only assume that every politician since that episode has taken it on board.
