Clocks go back tonight.. Winter time starts tomorrow..

It always seems to affect my mate.. she gets the winter blues..
I try to cheer her up..
I tell her that Christmas is almost here.. and all of a sudden there will be a mass of crocuses on the hill.....
We have a steep hill on our walk into Reigate.. The pathway is surrounded by hundreds of crocus..
It is a beautiful sight..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

It's a funny old thing, this clock changing malarkey.  Only started doing in in 1960, largely due to William Willett fighting for it.

Personally, I don't see the need for it.  It'd be relatively simple to change work times during different times of the year to suit their job needs instead of everyone having to have their body clocks messed about with.

It doesn't mess with mine. I go to bed when I'm tired and get up when I wake up.

Most of the world uses the same sort of system as here and it has been around since well before 1960

Apologies .  I meant to type 1916, and have now edited it accordingly.🥹

I make a point of reminding everyone about the clocks going back and then forget my own  .   With the number of clocks in my house, I need to start altering them about 9.30 pm.

I'm not a fan of clock moving, it always upsets my body. I did the bedroom one this morning before I got up, the rest can wait.

I only bother to alter a couple that don't alter themselves the rest stay as they are.

The car will get changed eventually. 😂
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Yes, my car clock is always last to get done, too.  I always have to find the instruction book to do that one because I can never remember what buttons to press.

I have just done my watch,  the cooker clock, the kitchen wall clock, and the bedside one, and will do my very old chiming clock before I go to bed too,  that one is a bit more tricky.

Back to long dark nights,   and cold frosty mornings soon, no doubt.

changing the clock on the Mondeo is easy, but years ago I had a car (can't remember which) where it was so complicated I gave up bothering - just had to remember for half the year that it was an hour out
Thank you for the days, the days you gave me

If it fools me it will. One of my cars did it automatically from the radio. I can't remember if this one does or not.

I found YouTube great for teaching you how to change the car clock. My big Yeti was a bloody nightmare to change, so I pulled the video up on my phone, sat in the car and followed the instructions. Easy after that.

I never touch the car clock.. Nor the cooker clock ,which happens to have the right time now..
I have a couple of clocks that need changing.. I will do them in a minute..

My new cooker has a clock, it's not being messed about with. I had a hell of a job trying to reset it after the electric went off in the area. Despite having the book in my hands I still couldn't sort it.
I wish I could turn it off altogether as I'll never use it.
