Actually it's simpler than that, Northampton in their continuing efforts to kill off the town centre closed all public toilets years ago. Some of the bigger shops and the shopping arcade have them.

Same here.   Toilets all closed now.

A friend of mine was a postman before he retired,  and he told me once how difficult it was  when his prostate was playing up and he was out delivering post for hours every day.

Makes me wonder what other postman do all day  - or even worse,  Post ladies?   Not so easy for the ladies to nip behind a tree is it!

Having said that, the increase in late opening supermarkets and places like McDonald's probably made the public loos obsolete.
