What did the vet say when they kept her in again on Friday night, JB?

According to Marge (I wasn't there), nothing much.  He had done more tests, but there were no unusual results.  I suppose that he didn't know either.
Last night, Marge reminded me that she's away all today (a choir thing) and suggested that if Peanut was ill again today I should take her to the cat hospital, a few miles away from here.  She has the car, so it would have to be a taxi.  Fortunately, Peanut is quite happy today and has eaten a fair bit of Purina, so things are looking good... for now.

Sounds promising . . .   :V:

Quote from: JBR on Yesterday at 09:23:38 AMWhat a coincidence!  Marge just told me this morning that the expensive Katkin food we have been feeding Peanut for a couple of weeks may have been contributing to her illness.  Yesterday, she went back to cheap Purina and since then seems to have improved noticeably.  She thinks that Peanut may be allergic to Katkin.  We're hoping for the best.
Pumpkin, however, still gets Katkin and loves it.

How odd is that    they're fussy little monkeys aren't they?  I remember years ago when Kit e Kat was the cheapest and my cat at the time wouldn't eat anything else, geez it didn't arf smell too ! I hope Peanut continues to improve now she's back on the 'cheap stuff'  :upvote:

I'm very pleased to say the Peanut now seems much better, although she is more skinny than she was.
Marge agrees that the culprit could have been the 'expensive' Katkin, with which she will not be presented again.
She has, however, been scoffing a lot of the cheaper stuff today, a lot more than she has for days now.
We go to see the vet tomorrow at 11.00, and hopefully he will confirm our hopes and suspicions.
I think that we'll still be advised to keep shoving some of the 'magic anti-diabetes medicine' into her mouth every morning.

Cats fussy eaters? My first wife and I had cats and one year there a glut of pheasants on the market for Christmas so we bought two, one for us, one for the moggies - and they turned their noses up at it!

Good news indeed, JB.   Let's hope her progress continues.   :upvote:

Yes, you are absolutely correct.  We (still) only have two, but certainly two of those occurencies have happened at the same time: usually both hungry and both yelling.
