Quote from: Dextrous63 on September 30, 2025, 07:32:39 PMAs you are soon to be rich beyond your wildest dreams Vlad, can I put you down for 40p for the whip-round we're having to buy some wonky fruit for Raven while she recuperates in hospital?  The rest of us can only afford 25p each.
Count me in on that...

It's looking good, Vlad.  I'm hoping it will all work out soon.

It all sounds very promising Vlad.  And klondike may well have a point about stamp duty in next month's budget.

Good luck at the hospital Raven.  I'm about to do some swabs (for MRSA) and drop them at our GPs.  I'm going for a flu jab this morning. The swabs have to be done within 28 days prior to surgery. I'm having a bionic knee on the 14th. 🫣
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Just make sure you get the oil change done every 20,000 miles or 12 months whichever comes first and you'll be fine

All the very best for that GM.  After your knee's sorted, it's just the rest of you to go 😬😬

All the best for the 14th GrannyMac

My local chemist is doing a a walk-in flu jab as from today.. might stroll down and get it sorted..
I do not want to have flu/covid jabs done at the same time..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Dextrous63

Just occurred to me that GM will also need some wonky fruit when she's in hospital.  This is starting to get expensive for us able-bodied ones!

Mups

Morning all.   It's a bit dull and drizzly here today.

Off for an eye check this afternoon.   Exciting day ey . . . .

Dextrous63

Crikey Mups.  You're getting in on the wonky fruit act too.  This is going to cost (Vlad) loads.

Scrumpy

I have had my flu jab.. They also do the covid jabs.. Walk-in..
The chemist asked if I would like both ..  I told them that I will pop down next week for it..
So many younger people also waiting for their jabs.. I was surprised..

I looked on the chemist website and it said appointments only..
When I phoned for an appointment they said it was Walk-in and not to take any notice of their website..
The chemist is just down the road.. So much easier then going to the doctors to get a jab.. The parking is horrendous..  If only I had known..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Wonky fruit?    I would like a 3 course meal with George Clooney for the year I've had!

I don't really want the Covid Jab.. But I am scared not to..
I have been brainwashed. 😁
To be honest, since having Covid jabs I am so bloody tired most of the time..

We are due flu jabs this week, then Covid jabs, we have turned down the RSV jabs because the odds of have serious side effects are too high, 1 in 10000 are odd s I don't like. Like you Covid jabs wipe me out
