Oh goodness,  I saw that too but thought it was a hedgehog with problems.

Good morning on this lovely sunny start.
I have just been told they car menders are coming to collect my motor for repairs on 23rd.
So now I need to let the spare-car lenders know so they can bring me something to use.

I must say,  these people have been very helpful and efficient so far.   :upvote:

Just off to take my Gertie to the Vets.  She's had me up half the night with a painful tummy.
I have never had a drama queen like her,  so its difficult to know when she's telling the truth,  but I know something is bothering her and she won't eat any breakfast. Her tummy sounds like a one-man-band, too.

Give the wee drama queen a hug from me.  hopefully she's fine.
My Pashka used to have Rumbly Tummy a lot, I would give her Colpermin Mint Tablets and it soon cleared it up. Get them in any Chemist, not expensive either........Worth a try before heading to the Vet.
I'm sure she had the doggie version of IBS.

Alex

Lovely doggie photos girls !

Thanks Alex, and Michael.   :upvote:

Raven,  I just googled the Colpermin, and there were mixed views on the safety of these for dogs because of the Peppermint essential oil content.    Dogs absorb essential oils differently to us humans.
I even have quite a long list somewhere, of oils not to burn indoors if we have pets too.  Its surprising. Oils like Citrus, Eucalyptus, Thyme, Tea tree,  and loads more,  are all unsafe for dogs.

You're girls would have been a lot heavier than Gertie too,  perhaps 40kgs or thereabout?   Gertie is only 6.7 kg. probably less than some cats! So that could make a difference to her safety too, I would imagine.?

Half her problems are probably because she won't stop meddling with things she shouldn't. She is an avid gardener, you see!
One night a few years back, I caught her digging in the flower beds in the pitch dark, and she was like a kid at Christmas when she found some 'treasure'  down the hole.
I was horrified to find her munching away on Hyacinth and Daffodil bulbs!
An expensive  ' Out-of-Hours' trip to the vets was needed because I know how toxic bulbs are, and as I said earlier,  she's only little.  They injected her and she threw up all the bits of bulbs she'd eaten,   I am so glad I didn't leave her till next morning else I reckon it may have been too late.

She also is obsessed with collecting wood every day too.  Bark chippings around the garden are her favourite.   She goes out every day collecting wood and stores it in her bed - until I catch her!
She used to also drink from the bird bath,  which the Pigeons are always pooing in!
So all in all,  I am not surprised she gets these tummy problems!
I have never had such a meddler as her in my life,  but I love her to bits.

So much for having a pot of mint by the back door and spraying the place with Peppermint !  A ginormous creature ran across my kitchen floor, fortunately the hoover was to hand.   I've put the hoover in the utility incase it can get out.

Too right Mups !  I emptied the hoover into the bin outside this morning, no sign of the little blighter so I'm hoping there was no way out for it and it was mixed in the fluff and stuff.....
