The boring thread.....

Picked my Amazon.package up from the Post Office. Feel a bit guilty for calling him a miserable git now. He seemed quite happy snd was actually friendly. Must be on a promise.

Good morning folks.   Yet another hot day forecast.

 It is coming up to my son's 1st Wedding Anniversary,  and they are going off to Portugal with some of the younger family members to celebrate.  

That's not for me though,  I am not a traveller, and I wouldn't dump my dogs somewhere, anyway.
So today they are coming to pick me up, and I am being treated to a nice lunchtime meal somewhere.
As a little surprise,  I have arranged for a big bouquet of flowers and card to be delivered while we are at the table.

My son is also collecting his new car today,  so I will be having a ride in that, too.

I've been waiting in for an Amazon parcel, then I received a message to  say the items have been delayed.   That's the first time that's happened to me, bit of a nuisance...

Our Amazon order was supposed to arrive tomorrow, part of it came Wednesday,  the rest yesterday.  We din't order much, must have been lucky!

I'm having a day after the day before sort of day.

Other than on here, I shall be seeking for enlightenment by reading one of Douglas Adams' books.  I shall be looking for excitement by checking the progress of a Temu order.  It has arrived in the UK and is nearly through customs.  So, since Evri don't seem to deliver on Sundays, I am hopeful for it to land on my doorstep on Monday.

I've got three from Ali on the way. All either in or cleared customs. Two estimated as 19th and one as 21st but I'm hoping for earlier. Exciting times.

A dull, grey, and much cooler day so far,  but what a relief from that fierce heat 24/7.

My elderley, retired telly repair man just called in and brought the tv back.  He said he has replaced all the Diodes (?)  and I am to let him know how it goes. 

I don't regret letting him have a look at it,  especially as he never charged me a penny, bless his heart.    If it does conk out again though,  that'll be it,  I shall have to buy a new one.

More good news -- my doorbell is still working, Klondie!   

Lastly,  talk about 'boys toys',  my son's new car I had a ride in yesterday,  has different colour dashboard lights and pretty  footwell lights that you can choose and change colours.  Never seen that before.

Perhaps I should start a thread on  -  'Why do men love gadgets'.

Nice morning here, much more comfortable.
I'm hoping my parcel arrives today, got a few things to do in my 'yet to be painted' sitting room.
My non-driving friend is away so I don't have to take her to the shops, pleased about that
