Same here this morning, hope all goes OK for Dexi.
I'm off to the pub for lunch later.

Thanks.  Am waiting for the female Dexes to finished getting ready, so we can set off.

As a random aside, I learnt today that if you died whilst in the Houses of Parliament, you're entitled to have a State Funeral.

Wow!  If you're right, I must remember to arrange a quick visit to Londonistan when I feel that I am 'going'.

You wouldn't see me dead in that place

Well, that all went according to plan without a glitch.  Well over a hundred and forty mourners at church, some came to the crem, some others (at least 30) were watching online.

All were fed and catered for.

She sure knew a lot of people!!

Well organised from the sound of it and she had a good send off so well done.

Same here, Dex.

Glad it all went well.

Thanks.  All down to Mrs Dex.  I was simply a soundboard who took her stress related abuse at times and told her when to breath 😊😬

Good morning all, on this nice sunny start.
Off to see the Orthopaedic man today,  see what he thinks about my poor old back.

Don't know about anyone else,  but I am so fed up with little but sport on the telly lately.
Bloody football,  horse racing, tennis,  cricket,  and the golf starts soon -  it does my head in.
I realise many people like sport,  but I don't agree with it disrupting other programmes for hours at a time.
Sport needs to be on a sports channel,  then interested people can watch it all day and every day while others can enjoy other programmes.

Bang on Mups, been saying that for years. I used to enjoy taking part in sports when I was at school but I hate watching it from the sidelines or on the telly.

Bit of a faff but did get a refund.

These are damned good scissors but do have a tendency to go missing as I've lost the first pair I bought plus a pair I was given. I reordered last night so should be getting another pair today unless the driver fancies them of course.

They will cut thick cable, sheet metal, etc. etc.
Just as most men think any kitchen scissors should do.

Good morning all.  Its grey and drizzly here, but my garden appreciates it.

I went to the consultant yesterday about my back,  and he offered surgery.
I declined, because I don't think we recover as well when we're older,  and also because there would be no one to look after me and help with anything when I got back home, so that could be difficult.

I asked if I could try a steroid injection to ease the pain first,  so that is what he will now arrange.
It will be the needle into  my spine which will no doubt not be a lot of fun.
I know that won't mend anything, its only a prop,   but I would rather give it a try first  before consenting to surgery as a first option.

Ocado order coming shortly,  and then I've got to nip into town.  Have a good day all.

Alex

Sunny morning here so I took the opportunity to get some washing on the line !
Another exciting day ahead   I shouldn't moan as I had a lovely pub outing Tuesday.
