Took two goes to fix mine. There's a spare bit of the mesh they use still floating about in there. The first was a keyhole job that failed. The second the fix was attempted initially by keyhole but had to be completed in the old traditional way. The surgeon told me that he'd heard of one that took seven goes to fix

I get all my elective surgery done at a local private hospital on the NHS through patient choice.  You get the same surgeons but they actually talk to you about the op and you know who is doing it.

Busy day tomorrow- funeral.

Scrumpy

I hope all goes well tomorrow Dex

I attended a funeral last week.
Three members of the family spoke of their Father/Granddad..
There was one  hymn... One prayer..
People were dressed in bright colours.
The man's daughter was applauded after her amusing speech..
Just a simple funeral..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Thank you all.

Eulogy amended, printed off and a copy sent to one of the vicars.
Reprint of order of service done, for a fee, due to us not proof reading the original draft carefully enough and reading it had the wrong bible version.

Impromptu buffet sorted for MiL's retirement flat community for those who can't attend but will be watching on YouTube.

Other vicar's own eulogy read and approved.

Crikey, I had no idea it was all so complex😳

Just need to polish my shoes in the morning.

Would that be Woodlands by any chance, Klondie?  It is so different there, isn't it.
That's where I am going on Wednesday.

Three Shires here but there are doubtless other choices. Three Dupuytren's ops on hands and the two goes at the hernia. All supposed to be day ops but I sometimes don't respond well to the anaesthetic used so have had two of those turn out to be overnighters because I was kept in for observation. The last one I asked for and got a regional block which I'd had for the first. If they had refused I'd not have gone ahead as Dupuytren's is more of an inconvenience than a serious problem while dieing under the anaesthetic is more than inconvenient.

Had to arrange my sister's funeral from 500 miles away, not easy. She had been one of the volunteers who took folk round Hampton Court so we had her funeral in the Royal Chapel. What was very touching was that the route for her coffin was tortoise, with each offshoot guarded by a palace servant in full regalia who bowed as Shelia passed by
Thank you for the days, the days you gave me

More delivery fails. Amazon and Evri. Both seem to have lost stuff in transit...

There's never a good day for a funeral. It's been dank and drear for most I've attended and it's exactly that here today.
