Damned bluebottle. Appeared from nowhere and annoyed me enough to get out the fly spray. Several times. I'm surprised it didn't drown. Still buzzing. It might be time for

I was given one a few father's days ago.

I like to have my back door open in the summer,  but as you can imagine,  I too, get bombarded with flies.
I have put up a long net curtain over the door frame now, (mostly because I can't bear Wasps),  but it keep a lot of flies out too.   Some still seem to come under the bottom of the net as it is about 1ft from the floor,  and I usually either swat them, or use my brilliant fly catcher.  I wouldn't be without it.
I can catch flies, wasps, bees, spiders, moths,  all sorts, without killing them.

That one flew out again I think unless it finally succumbed to the spray. If I'd got one of those up it would likely trap them in - they always sneak in like ninjas but seem to be too daft to go out again.

Klondy I can honestly say I don't have flies or wasps in here, because when I go out the thing shuts itself with the magnets.  I've also got screen on 3 of the upstairs windows, this works well too although a bit fiddly to set up.

I bought mine from B & M, I'm sure it was cheaper.

Alex,  would my dogs be able to open it to get in and out when they wanted?

I see it slam shut behind you,  but how do you open it?

Lastly,  do you have to take it down before you can close the door and lock up at night?

Thanks.

Hopefully the end of my radiator saga today.

The one dumped in my doorway by DX after it had been refunded is supposedly being collected from my front garden today assuming no pikies have had it away first and there is a delivery of one I ordered from Wickes supposerdly arriving this morning. I'm not the breath holding type though as experience has taught me there is little point.

My Grand-dogs cope well with it as it's very light so they just push through it.   It's fixed to the outside frame and stays up year round because I hate flies in winter too

Fishing. Missed first day of the season waiting in for that damned radiator. At least that saga is over and it's on the wall and piped down into the cellar. Will connect it in with the others later in the week. Need to get it in before the cold snap and frosts in July caused by global warming though.

Just done that...it's hot out there...

Mups

It's gonna be hotter still as this week rolls on.

Our local weather forecast a staggering 32 degrees by Sunday!!
Not looking forward to that.

And while we're on the subject of heat,  it infuriates me how all those snotty well-to-do's are still  making those horses race this week.
I would like to get all those jockeys,  strap a heavy weight to their back,  and keep whipping them to make them run miles and jump their hearts out in this heatwave,  just so me and my friends could put bets on who might win.

Cos that's what's it's all about -  men and money as usual.
