We're going to the garden centre for a few plants this morning, then I have a class in the pool at lunch time. Lovely cool water!  Having my nails done pm.  It's all go! 😄

I can't take too much heat, so I just got the big steps out and climbed up to the loft to get a big electric fan out which I poked up there last year.   
I daren't actually get into the loft,  I'm always frightened I will come through the ceiling,  so I left this fan right next to the trap door where I can reach it easier.   
Just plugged it in, and it still works fine.   Aah,  cool air again.  Bliss.  

Washing machine's on, then in a mo I am taking the dogs down to my groomer friend for her to cut their nails for me.   I always bath and clip them myself,  but I have never dared cut black nails where I can't see where the nerve  is  inside, and they can bleed  profusely if I got it wrong.

After that  . . .  who knows . .  a day out with George Clooney would be nice.

I have been struggling with the nuts /bolts (whatever they are called) that attach toilet seat to toilet.. I've given up.. I will ask the next man that enters my house to have a go.. Not the Amazon man though..

My advice would be not to bother with it.  OK, it might be a little cool when you first sit down on it, but no big deal.  On the plus side, it will help you not to spend too much time on the throne.  Admittedly, when I 'go', I like to relax and have a game of Sudoku.

Wise. Most that deliver here probably don't speak English. That's if you can ever catch one before has scooted after dumping your stuff on the step. I've even really encountered that ludicrous joke meme of a huge Amazon box in the doorway with my doormat sat atop it like a cheap toupee.

I'm just collecting some bits to plumb my new radiator into the central heating system. I've noticed that the original installer had put inserts into all the push fit pipes. I thought they were only needed it you put the plastic pipes into compression fittings but maybe not. Anyway better safe than sorry. I would normally walk there but too hot today so I'll drive.

Phew.  The weather's getting hotter each day, they are forecasting.   The night's are not good for sleeping for some of us,  either.

They are also advising us to keep hydrated,   and drink until our wee is 'straw coloured',  but not to drink a lot of fruit juices, smoothies and soft drinks because they are high in sugar which can actually cause dehydration. 
I must admit I didn't know that,  but I don't usually drink smoothies anyway.

Lots of water, I always have a bottle with me nowadays.  I like smoothies, but never buy the premade ones now because of the sugar.  Occasionally make my own. 

Meeting a friend pm for a coffee at the garden centre.  I'll come home with another plant. 😬

I was in Morrison's at 7 this morning.. It is going to get far too hot for me .. needed milk.. Our local Co-op didn't have a milk delivery yesterday..  I ended up spending a few bob, but I didn't have to carry it home.. 
Screws and bolts still not undone on my toilet seat.. Where's Shaun when I need him..!!

Out in the wild, people tend to dig a small hole in the ground, then cover it up afterwards.

Another very hot day - phew.   I've got a rotten headache.

I remember last summer, reading about leaving your loft hatch open in heatwaves  as some lofts  can catch fire.   
No idea if this was true or not,  but I did open the hatch,  and I was really surprised when I felt a rush of heat waft down on me.    Going to open mine again in a mo.

My Ocado order's just come,  so best go and start packing that away now.

I can use the toilet.. The seat just wobbles a bit..
