Hi Mups.  The vet checked the teeth among other things.  Seemed to think they were ok.  The cat had a full bladder, which may be due to the infection🤷🏻♂️

Hopefully a day of antibiotics will soon kick into play.

You said about his full bladder?  Has he had trouble peeing, do you know?
Hope he feels on the mend again soon, Dex.

Just got my grass cut before the forecast rain comes overnight.
Another job done.

Chocs is starting to have the occasional mouthful of food.  On the road to recovery!!

Thank you all for your kind words, and advice.

Dex so sorry to hear that your cat has been ill, but lovely to hear he's on the mend. It's such a worry when they're knocking on a bit.   My trick was always the pill inside a little ball of tuna.  It didn't always work, but 8 out of 10 times it did.  :upvote:

Just been in the garden touching up all the places that I missed yesterday when painting the gate..
I looked out of the bedroom window this morning and my eyes went immediately to a bare spot that I had missed on the fence.. How could I have missed it..!! I was wearing my glasses.. !!
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Good morning all.
A nice sunny morning here,  but only 5c at the mo.

I saw something odd outside my front door yesterday.  It was half in and half out of a hole in the mortar between the block paving.
To cut a long story short,  I looked it up and it looked like it was a large Moth pupa,  but it was huge,  nearly 2" long and a very large girth.   It must be a giant of a moth.

Anyway, I didn't want my dogs picking it up outside the door,  so have put it in a clay flowerpot in the shed now and will check it every day to see if there is any movement or development.   I just hope its nothing horrible going to hatch.

How do you know it was a moth pupa?  Biggest moth I'm aware of in UK is that one with the "eyes" on the wings which goes to about a 3" wingspan.

Searching on that basis threw this up...

I wish I had a lovely lawn.. I have spent many pounds trying to get it looking good..
No luck.. Loads  of bare patches... All the weeds have gone... But so has much of the grass.
I will never use weed killer again on the grass..

I've got lots of bald patches on the lawn too Scrumps and lumps and bumps - but it looks good through the window

Give it a chance.  Overseed it some more.  It's not even mid April yet.
