Great news... The ignorance of humans ...

Many years back it was the trend to be seen with a wild animal on the end of a leash.. Especially the Chelsea are..
Harrods boasted that you could buy anything at their store.. Which included young wild animals..
I saw a documentary on a couple of (posh) boys who purchased a lion cub from the store..
They were so thick they overlooked the fact that young animals usually grow up..
They couldn't cope with such a large animal and set it free in (Africa)... They went back some years later and that wonderful gentle creature remembered them and ran towards them.. It was so, so happy to see them even though it had made a new life in the wild..

On the news just now.. One of the creatures has died.. The stress was far too much for it..
Stupid.. stupid humans..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I remember Harrods selling wild animals too, Scrumpy.  They even sold baby Elephants!

They were puppy dealers too.  Just buying in litters to sell for profit.   Disgusting.

And the rich that bought them used them as accessories to flaunt..

Just gritted my front steps and driveway.. I am not going out today.. Far too slippery..

Remember when we would make slides all over the place.. !! And we were experts at staying upright when sliding on them..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

You take one plastic jug.. Just over a pint size.. Fill to the brim..
Scatter the salt / grit mixture down the path and steps ..
Keep in a straight line down the centre of path and steps..
Avoid doing the whole width ... This can be wasteful and costly..
Walk in a straight line along the scattered grit.. Do not  stray either side.. This can cause a slip-up..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Flippin telly today again!

They had flippin' Harry Potter on AGAIN,  from 1.30 pm today, non-stop until 10 pm tonight.

Another channel had Elvis Presley on from 1 pm lunchtime, non stop until 12.15 am tomorrow!!

Drives me nuts all these repeats.  It's not just the one repeat either, its one after another after another  . . . . .  following on all day long.

You not got catchup Mups?  Watched a couple of episodes of Granchester.  They were pleasant enough.

GP appointment first thing (yes, I've actually got one!), then a couple of hours in the charity shop.   The older volunteers, like me, made it in last week.  The youngsters didn't.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Perhaps Mummy thought it was too dangerous out there.. Slippery paths etc..
Or maybe Daddy wouldn't take his car on the road..
OR they had a lie in..

It's a balmy 5°  here this morning.   I very nearly went up the Co-op in my shorts.

Talking of which,  a couple of days ago when it was several degrees below zero all the time, I saw a couple walking their dog nearby,  and the man had a thick, warm coat, on,  woolly bobble hat . . . .  and shorts!

Why do men do this?   It IS only men too.
I have never, ever seen a woman out in shorts in mid-winter,  have you?
