My granddaughters attended an international school and as far as I can judge Chinese pupils had a hard life there, because their parents made them learn a lot, above all on weekends - little free time.

It might seem a hard life to us, but to be fair, in my opinion the Chinese parents make them work hard at school and I'm sure bring them up to enable them to compete well in the world.

I know that some British parents don't make much of an effort in teaching their children how to behave, and consequently, the kids grow up to be just like their parents!

I do wonder about Jacq.  I thought Crabby would come back, but no. Hugh was knocking on a bit, and his health wasn't great.

One thing crabby had was pride. Having left and announced he was off I wasn't expecting to see him return. If he'd just cooled it for a while instead then he'd probably still be here.

I sent a message to Jacqueline a while ago on the off chance it would appear in her e-mails that she had a message on here, but I didn't hear anything back, I liked her she was feisty ! 
Akbuk is great on the Mother Ship and still posts loads.
Sheila came and went didn't she ? I don't have her e-mail or I'd contact her, she doesn't live that far from me
