Me too. Blink. Cancelled Ring subscription. Refund comes close to paying for the Blink kit. Thanks Alex and whoever recommended it to you. Looking at it my Ring sub had doubled in the three years or so I had it. I'm pretty much certain that Blink wasn't around when I bought the Ring doorbell to replace the sub free junker I had at the time.

Should have written 'normal' not 'right' - it never feels right
Thank you for the days, the days you gave me

Bloomin' cold.   Minus 3 here.

Freezing here.. Temp expected to rise to 2deg..
Very frosty.. I try to avoid walking when the pavements are slippery..
Being a lady of a certain age I feel I might slip up..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I think I'll admit defeat and stay in today. Perhaps I'll have a second go on that exercise bike I bought six months ago. Perhaps.

At the moment it's 0 ° outside so it's warming up a little bit !
I went out for lunch yesterday, by the time we met up at noon the roads were ok.  Not sure what they're like today as it was minus 2 last night.
I do need a few things from the shop, so will probably venture out later.

This morning, Marge decided that WE would walk down to the shop to get some essentials.
Having looked out of the window to see untreated icy pavements, she decided that the milk (which has gone past the sell-by date today) will be OK for another day.

Suits me.

A sniff or a taste, these dates are a nonsense

Mups

I remember not that long ago when some supermarkets stopped selling food with date stamps.
Does anyone else remember that?   Loads of shoppers were complaining.

I for one,  did not like, or agree with this at all.  I think it is much safer to date is, but you need only use it as a guide - not law!

It's all very well to say just sniff something,  but that is rarely possible.  e.g. how could we break the seal on bottles of milk  to sniff it in shops?
How could we tell if eggs were fresh in shops,  or sealed packs of meat, sausage, cooked meats, etc.
Mushrooms were in clear sealed punnets, as were strawberries,  but you can't sniff them either.

There were loads and loads of examples I could give,  but this is enough to explain.

You can sniff your own bottles of milk at home I agree,  but not those when you're out shopping.

No pool this morning it was minus ten last night, not much better now. Dunc fancies a turn in the Sauna and Wet rooms while I swim, then says he'll come and join me in the hot tubs afterwards. Says if I behave myself he'll take me for a bar lunch after.

GrannyMac

I made it to the pool yesterday for my exercise class, about 1/3 fewer than usual.  The outlying districts were still icy, but the main roads were ok.  Very cold here today, but sunny. I'm due to go into town later, I'll walk down to the tram rather than drive I think.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Alex

More snow here today, it does look lovely  hope the roads are clear enough to get to the shops later.
