The Houthis have attacked Saudi Arabia
The airport ,causing hundreds of civilian casualties
And the Saudis are now bombing Yemen
No protests against Saudi Arabia for defending against jihadist attack, no marches no Free Yemen protesters and there won't be.
Because as we know it's not about the conflict.

Donald Trump said yesterday the US was considering joining Saudi strikes on the Houthis.   One of the 12 people killed yesterday was a US citizen

Although Marge and I have worked in Saudi Arabia in a military hospital, I don't know much about their military.  You don't seem to hear about any of their forces and certainly not wars, so this is rather interesting.
Obviously, they have lots of money, so I'm sure they can afford the best equipment.  The patients we have dealt with didn't seem to include any big, scary sorts, so I'm not sure what their armed services are exactly like.  However, I feel that as they can afford anything they want, they should wipe the floor with the Hooties.
Fortunately, although they are a muslim nation, they certainly don't give the impression of being anything like the troublesome muslims we now seem to be importing.  I wish them the best.

Saudi Arabia is one of several muslim countries to have "normal relations" with Israel. Some of those countries still do not recognise Israel as far as I know. Some acknowledge it but don't accept passports stamped in Israel. Whereas the Houthis (like the Palestine protestors) are opposed to the existence of Israel and have been interfering with shipping in the region for some time now. This appalling attack comes after that aeroplane hijack was foiled and it landed in Saudi Arabia. And yes the Saudis have elite forces with the best equipment.

If you visit Israel you can have your passport stamp on a prices of paper to prevent any problems visiting anti Isreal countries in the future .

Iran finances the Houthis yet much of the world declines to help America in its struggle ahagints Irans deadly regime .

Why can't Saudi Arabia a vastly wealthy  country with access to state of the art defence weapons lose out to a bunch of primitive terrorists ?

Perhaps their military is not so brave when it comes to attacking other muslims ?  I dunno just a thought.....

Yes, I can believe that.  Religion is still a very strong lever, especially in the Third World.  It still holds a lot of leverage, even here in the UK, and I'm referring to our own religion, Christianity, despite our so-called King apparently leaning heavily toward Islam.

I was brought up in the CofE and later joined the choir in Bradford Cathedral, where I was confirmed.  Shortly afterwards, Marge and I went to live and work in Saudi Arabia, a muslim state.  Being present there did nothing to persuade me to become a muslim, but similarly, I had lost any interest in Christianity and the CofE.

It's simply a realisation that, apart from many people claiming to believe in a supernatural being, who goes under different names and represents widely differing religions, I can't accept that religion generally is nothing more than a human invention with widely differing gods and also rules, of course.

I'm sick to death of this deity who keeps on popping up every few thousand years and tells some random fella in the middle of nowhere a brand new set of stories and demands, frequently contradicting his last set.

Given that we, his mighty primate creation, has a tendency to try and kick the living proverbial out of our fellow species members, you'd have thought that this deity could either express himself in a somewhat more cohesive and coherent manner, or realise that he's pissing in the wind trusting us to sort it all out on his behalf.
