Is that time coming round again?

It was an annoyingly damp and chilly end to what started as a nice bright day. Doubly annoying as I hadn't carefully checked the weather and when I came out from a visit to opthalmology it had started to rain. I walked into town and got the bus home which meant I didn't really get wet but it still felt a bit chilly when I got home.

I'm with Octopus and have a little Octopus mini device which as well as showing current power usage on my phone instead of the rather crappy smart meter display I binned years back means the app has easy to find energy use charts going back to when I got it.

Frighteningly by this time last year the central heating was on. I thought I didn't usually have in on this early. So is it defective memory or was last year unseasonably cold already? Will I have to admit summer is over? I had gone out wearing shorts but changed them when I got home. I suppose the local wildlife won't be so startled when I have to put them away for another year.

Yes, it has been noticeably chillier today,  but I believe it's supposed to be warmer for the weekend again.
I'm with Octopus too,  but I haven't got a smart meter,  and my heating is not on yet either.
I shall be thinking about putting the winter duvet on soon though.

As for you putting your shorts away to help the wildlife relax again,  I bet all the old dears at the bus stop will sleep better at night now, too.

We're also with Octopus.  Heating went on this morning an hour for showers, our bathroom is the coldest room in the house.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Octopus looks very reasonable, was that £61 for gas and leccy Klondy ?
