Today I cut one side of my hedge.. I took the safety cover off the blade and threw it over the hedge back into my garden..  I never did find it again.. I heard it land..
It didn't go into the bin with hedge cuttings.. the cuttings were picked up from the pavement..
18 inches long.. gone in a flash.. All bushes and surrounding areas searched.. again and again..
14 pounds later a new one will arrive tomorrow..

I've often commented on the portal to other dimensions here. You clearly have one too. If it's anything like the one here your missing cover will be spat out into our universe eventually. It could be later today or much much later. The pottal moves in mysterious ways.

I checked the length of the cover .. not 14 but 18 inches..
How can something that long that landed on ground completely disappear.. It's not like a one inch screw.. !!

That is fatal - they'll never be seen again!

The worst thing of all is to put something somewhere for quickness. Eventually you got fed up seeing it just tucked in clearly the wrong place and put it away properly in the right place. You may as well save time and find another one on Amazon right away.

( gently) threw it over.. .  Even my mate had a look for it..
