Anyone else still enjoy academic learning?  I love it.  Am currently doing a 'distance learning' course on Forensic Sciences with Kings College, London and it is amazing.  We have covered Crime Scenes, DNS, Chain of Custody in some depth  I am finding it totally fascinating, but we are now into long words that I haven't heard since school chemistry lessons, and a few even longer ones that probably hadn't even been invented back then! This week we are into the weird world of drugs and explosives - so if you want to blow up a bottle of Ecstasy pills - I'm your woman!

Mups

I hope you are enjoying your course Tabby.   How long does it go on for,  and what will be at the end of it?  Is there an exam you have to sit?

I have not done any courses for years now.
When I first left school I was an apprentice hairdresser,  then later on I went to college to learn 'touch-typing.'
Later on in life I went to Agricultural college and achieved my City & Guilds in Agriculture.

Been bone idle  ever since.

Well I have watched Midsummer Murders but I'm not sure that counts. I tried Silent Witness but that was a bit too technical for me to follow.

I liked the early days of Silent Witness with Amanda Burton - usually waving someone's innards about.  Haven't seen many of the Emilia Fox ones as I no longer have a TV.

LOL, Mups, I really cannot imagine you as idle!

It is an intense course - but I am loving it.  There will be a diploma at the end of it - if I survive and do well enough.

Tabs,  do you have an exam at the end?    How long is this course for?

I do some research around social housing for a voluntary group working with the local authority.  I was a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing, and retain an interest. No formal studies any more though.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Yes, there is an exam, and a diploma (hopefully) - another month left to go.

Good luck, although I'm sure you won't need it!

Brilliant Tabs
I am not sure if I have the energy to do a course I would like to though.
I'm not sure if I have the will power to do something online .
