Mups asked if anyone unplugs their tv during a storm..

No I do not... But I will not stand at the kitchen window doing the washing-up.. nor have a bath..
I know i am stupid .. but.. that's how it is..

I remember my mum covering the tv before going to bed.. and taking her curlers out during a storm..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Scrumps,  my Mum used to drape a tea towel or similar over the living room mirror on the wall, too.
I must admit, if it is a bad storm and seems close,  I do unplug my telly AND computer.

Hey look at this which I just found on Google:

Yes, you should unplug TVs, computers, and other non-essential electronics during thunderstorms. Lightning strikes can cause sudden, massive power surges that travel through electrical wiring and severely damage sensitive equipment. Always unplug devices before the storm arrives to avoid the risk of electric shock.
