There's often one story or incident about these controversial people that sticks in your mind and prejudices you against them.,.
Take the MP Robert Jenrick who had the welcoming kiddies cartoon mural painted over because it was too friendly, I can never forgive him for that unkindness
And Tommy Robinson shared a video of a black man playing with his white granddaughters...
"The man and his family are living in fear of their lives after being falsely branded paedophiles"
Just two examples...

My last tuppence....  I'm interested in politics and have been since I was in my 20s and 'leaflet posting' for the Labour Party.   I enjoy discussion, hearing other people's views and particularly listening to radio programmes.  These programmes sometimes get really heated, but those discussing don't resort to name calling.  We should be able to discuss current events on here, without labelling people, that's all I was saying.

Quite so Alex.( I was a card carrying member of the Labour Party ) when I was young .
But the Labour Party has changed and not for the better .
The political situation is the big subject of the moment surely well worth a discussion .
We are old but not dead yet and a robust  but civil discussion keeps the brain alive .

I don't want a row, but Tommy Robinson has been in prison plus he is known
for stirring things racially and has started or been involved in other anti-racial
movements.

Nigel Farage is far right in his politics, and some of his proposed policies are
unpleasant and threatening.

Donald Trump is downright nuts and dangerous with it, for the world.

These are all my honest opinions, and I suppose we must just agree to disagree
without becoming rude to each other or beligerant. If I have been either of these
things, I apologise.

Is there anything else perhaps less contentious that you would do if you were PM ?

Oh, Muddy, I'm too old, and my brain power is fast receding; it's going out like the tide.
But I hate unfairness and racism, we are all the same under our skin - good, bad, and
indifferent, whatever colour we are, or country in which we were born.

I was Conservative and thought it the best, despite some of its mistakes. But their last
+ 14 years sickened me. So now I'm a floating voter, but I know who and what I would
not vote for.

However, my regards to all and good luck.

I was Conservative and thought it the best, despite some of its mistakes. But their last
+ 14 years sickened me. So now I'm a floating voter, but I know who and what I would
not vote for.

We are all the same in the fact that we are human beings  but we are not all the same in other ways .
Skin colour means nothing to me I have lived with dark skinned people most of my life .
I like dark skin it looks healthier ( even though it may not be .) 
I like my own skin better when it's got a nice tan .
But what is different are cultural mores .
All cultures are not equal by a long shot .
Our Judeo - Christian culture and values are very different to some cultures and that is what the doctrine of multiculturalism has got so wrong .
We have tolerated culture habits that are totally alien to our own and this is noy only not good its consequences are horrendous .
Cruelty to animals is the first one .
It's best not to think too much about Halal slaughter without prestunning but just imagine haveing your own throat cut slowly and in brutal terrifying conditions.
Women are second class human beings .
This is wrong in every sense .
So if I were PM ritual slaughter without pre-stunning would stop tomorrow .
Full face coverings would be immediately made against the law .

Lots of people would agree with you, that's how the loony Greens have gathered so much momentum.  However, they aren't representing the middle or moderate right wingers, which is where I stand.  I'm really quite sad that it has taken someone with Tommy Robinson's reputation to get people like me on board. He was involved football thuggery, and has a criminal conviction for it for starters.  But the moderates, on both sides of politics have for far too long been pussyfooting around issues like the grooming gangs, almost all of whom were Pakistani Muslims.   Fear of upsetting the minorities. 🙄

I think Reform are already shaking up Labour, long may it continue. 

Ask any Iranian (especially female) who has moved here to escape the regime in Iran what they think of Trump?
