Hi Scrump thanks for kind welcome,..in a word..expensive, lots of things needed doing with converting the garage into a bedroom for my good lady and myself, lots of plumbing and electrical problems that needed sorting, and we inherited a large pond that leaked no filters or pumps working. Trees that needed reducing in height, but it's bloody brilliant..🤣 Each morning I walk from the bedroom into the shower room then make some fresh coffee, open the curtains in our own living room and watch the wildlife show. I have a large greenhouse. 
No traffic noise, no light pollution so the sky looks great at night, the garden illumination comes on at nightfall
We live in a village everything closes on the weekend, we have a a surgery and pharmacy local along with a butcher and baker close by, the supermarkets are a short drive away. 
This is my Eden for the remaining  few years that I have left There is still a lot to be done but we are enjoying it. 
We have grandson and granddaughter alongside my daughter and her man who are looking after us....sorry to go on but you did ask...😂😂

It sounds fabulous Vlad. My OH loves to have his breakfast in the garden when we visit our son.  Country living is so peaceful, there are horses in the next field, pheasants, and the odd visiting ducks!

Thank you all for your kind words this is a good place. I cannot even imagine where I would be today were it not for that handful of friends who have given me a heart full of joy. Let's face it, friends make life a lot more fun.
