Just to cheer us up a bit......BREAKING: Spain is fast tracking a decree to pass the legalization of OVER 500,000 illegals aliens and asylum seekers today, which will provide them with full legal status in Europe and allow them to cross into any EU country for work or residency and give them welfare benefits.  I know we're no longer in the EU but that won't stop a 'few' heading to UK

Assuming we are lucky to have a real government by then, we shall having nothing to worry about.
Remove any EU connections, prevent any illegal entry to the country, repatriate all illegals.
Those are the real important things, as far as I'm concerned, but perhaps even better.

Most expats are Romanian and Moroccan .

The ones who bring in the money are Brits Germans and Scandinavians .

I'm afraid that in our case, the ones who come here en masse are the ones who take all the money and contribute nothing but trouble and illegal activities.  Worse, their religion will take full control eventually.

I believe the same problems are present here as well.
We have a lot of youth unemployment and our housing can be expensive too.
I'm sure that we have at least half-a-million unemployed young people.

Main causes and contributory factors of youth unemployment:
- mental health issues
- inability to gain qualifications
- increased long-term sickness

What isn't mentioned is:
- can't be bothered to make any effort
(which could actually be the root cause of all of the above!)

Added to that more people less jobs .
We have made this world that young people have to live in.

We the baby boomers have forgotten that we were the lucky generation.

Well, at least you didn't have to cope with the war as my generation did. The house in which I was born, and most of the street was destroyed by the Luftwaffe. We had moved away but my parents lost a number of friends

You are right we didn't .
People were poor before the war and now will be poor again .
But in the war there was at least so they tell me a spirit of comradeship and people coming together .

As a family we were lucky. Two of mum's brothers were in the Merchant Navy and the Paras respectively and two of her brothers in law were in the Army and all survived, although for Jack, the elder brother, but younger than mum was a gunner on an armed merchantman which survived an attack by the Luftwaffe
