Anybody bought an appliance from AO? I just got a replacement dishwasher and they tried to push an insurance plan covering accidental damage and breakdown. I am alway suspicious of these things and turned it down. It's Only £4.99 a month but the first couple of years are arguably warranty and amount to nearly half the price. My bet is that the price would rise too as it became older. I checked back in my emails and the previous one was bought in 2014. I did make one repair myself but even at £4.99 12 years amounts to a lot of money and I imagine they'd have stopped it or increased the price anyway.

I agree.  It suggests that they are trying to gain a financial reward for covering the already free period for most, if not all, items sold.
I'd be tempted to ask if I could undertake their kind offer after the first two years of use.  Of course, I know their answer!

I never pay for extra cover.. Most items are guaranteed for two years ..
They don't make things to last these days.. 
I usually stick with the brands that I know.. and have used before.. Bosch being one of them..
I bought my Smeg fridge freezer from a store in town.. Paid through the nose..
I bought my washing machine from AO... They were absolutely fine...
I would certainly use them again..
