I can not work them blinking air pressure machines at the petrol stations..
I do try .. but end up asking someone to help.. People don't mind.. usually a guy will help me..
But I hate it..
Today I went to Halfords.. The man who works there was happy to check all my tyres ... All four tyres needed air..
I usually leave it to my garage when they do service and MOT .. but I didn't think they looked right..
Does anyone else on here struggle with those air pressure machines..?
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Never use them - can't trust how accurate they may be after Joe Public has quite often misused them. I have my own device - works off the 12v outlet and has been lovingly cosseted for years

Nope, no problems using them.

Am toying with getting a compressor for painting and nail gun usage, with (naturally) a tyre inflator gauge.

After all, Sod's Law dictates that a tyre will become flat at home, and thus either need inflating to get to a garage, or need inflating if one is going to use a diy kit.

I've have 12V ones in the past, but by golly they take their time!!

never needed it to inflate from flat - just a top up. lowest start I can remember was from 5 psi - ran over a nail

Have one that plugs into the car. Handheld, lives in the boot.

Yes I can't use them either Scrumps, I usually ask my lad to take it to petrol station and do my tyres.

I used to have a compressor that plugs in the car lighter socket but some time back I found low usage (so probably covid days) was leading to the battery struggling so I got a quick starter device and that had a compressor built in. It does need topping up every so often as if it goes flat it's useless.

So far I've used it to blow up a tyre when it got a puncture and neighbours cars a couple or more times but as yet never my own.

Scrumpy,  I don't like  using those pressure machines either.
I keep a little foot pump in the boot,  incase of an emergency.
