There seem to have been a bunch of charges where there was guilty verdict but one where no verdict was reached. Could be anything I suppose if the judge didn't say he'd take a majority verdict it could have been down to one juror seeing something that made him think it was not guilty.

Or a secret relative or friend of the accused!

Possible I suppose but if that came out they'd be in big trouble. They do get asked beforehand if there is any connection with accusedor victim and if they say no and it later gets shown that there was they would be prosecuted.

I don't anything about this case other than what it said in the news story. It could be there was an even split in the jury I suppose.
