I see that Starmer's lot have learned nothing from the Southport attack.

Nine people are in hospital with life-threatening injuries & the two attackers have been arrested but no details about the two men have been released, so until details are released my money's on Islamists.

Of course the authorities could have prevented me from forming my own opinion by simply saying who the two men are.

The most troubling thing is events like this are happening almost every day. And the government sits on its collective arse making things worse as far as I can see. 

I hope the innocent victims recover, thank goodness the lunatic didn't manage to kill anyone. But I won't be surprised if somebody let this man out of somewhere.

You are right, however, in our papers they wrote that people thought it was a Halloween joke and if you really want to be safe, you have to stay at home or video cameras have to be installed everywhere like in China.

You are right, however, in our papers they wrote that people thought it was a Halloween joke and if you really want to be safe, you have to stay at home or video cameras have to be installed everywhere like in China.

We have more than our own fair share of cameras here. Help to find the perpetrators but do little nothing to stop them in these cases. Bring caught is no deterrent.

Not terror related?  Well, I assume that all the passengers on the train were terrified.
In fairness to the police, I am sure that they have been ordered what to say and what not to say.
The root cause of this event, along with many others, is that we have an inept and biased government.

Yes, of course.  'Mental health problems' can be used to excuse much criminality these days.
If ever I am arrested one day, I shall remember to use that phrase.

The reason for some attacks in Germany are/were mental problems and I suppose it's difficult to spot them.
 Moreover, in my opinion the internet isn't a blessing or at least not for everyone. 
But whatever the reason is, it's a tradegy and my thoughts are with the  families of the victims and the British people.

Ever since we got care in the community i.e. being bunged out on the street in the hope some charity may sort them out to save paying for professional care in appropriate facilities,  we have had it drummed into us that such people are no threat to the public. For the most part that is true with a few tragic exceptions.

The truth is that the majority of the people who go in for seemingly random stabbings are not suffering any of the natural mental issues. They are probably of low intelligence and had some evil bastards indoctrinate them. Light the fuse and await the bang - sometimes exactly that.

As British nationals (no mention of them being citizens) one or both may be under immigration control? 

Latest report is only one man is being charged.  The 35 year old has been released, after he was found not to have been involved.
