Do others notice how many murder films on our telly every single day/evening  these days?
It gets on my wick.

Every single evening,  film after film,  is about someone getting bumped off.
Is the idea to de-sensitize people perhaps,   or might it  become the norm,  and maybe even encourage violence?

American films are the worst.  Usually within the first 5 mins,  there's guns being fired, usually followed by screeching tyres and car chases.  There is film after film the same.

Aren't ordinary family films made anymore?
Every newspaper is the same,  along with every news bulletin.
We are fed voilence day in, day out.

We need more comedy,  not more violence.

I hardly watch telly now except for the Scottish News, my recording programmes has dropped dramatically. It's mostly quiet evenings in front of the fire with books or just talking.

I tend to avoid most American films, though there are several really good ones.

I seldom watch films on the tv.. I have access to most channels and apps but I very seldom go there..
What I have noticed is most of the (new) series are based on killing/bombing and detectives..
They all look the same..
At the moment I am watching (classic) Downton Abbey.. I have never seen the series before..
I am enjoying it..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Yes, I enjoyed that series too Scrumps.   No foul language,  no rampant sex scenes,  and the only guns are the occasional game hunting parts.

I don't watch tV that much either.
Been watching Godfather 11 again I love the scenes of old Italy and New York plus the haunting music .

They do a lot of killing though but it's only business .
