Anyone watching it this year?

I'm afraid I  can't muster much enthusiasm this time round.
For a start I am tired of that rude,  self-opinionated  Craig Revell-Horwood.   He is just plain rude to people, and belittles them,  and then tries to smooth it over with his 'Darling'  this and 'Darling' that afterwards.  Even Tess & Claudia get on my wick a bit now, too.

I'm afraid I also do not like to see men dressed as women either.  I have never liked 'Drag.'
I haven't  enjoyed it as much as I used to for several years now because of this trend.
I suppose it's my age, we didn't grow up with these things like younger people are doing.

The show also seems to concentrate on more glitz and glamour than dancing these days.
I used to look forward to it each week,  but not so much now.

TBH, we rarely watch TV nowadays (me, less than my wife).  So SCD isn't even in the "possible pre-pending tray".

The big blond guy is a non- starter.. The man from Neighbours I like.. Craig Revel- Horwood thinks he's clever to mock..
Like Bake Off it has had its day..
I don't watch it.. It's just on in the background..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Michael Rolls

Never watched it, don't intend to
Thank you for the days, the days you gave me

Me neither can't be bothered with shows like that. The best thing I ever bought was the freeview twin recorder, we record what we want to watch and watch when we want. Only live TV I watch is the 6pm Scottish News on ITV, and sometimes Breakfast while I drink my latte before I go to the pool.

Mups..
I think the blond guy that was voted off last night was hounded by the press from the start..

We have Traitors starting on Wednesday.. With celebrities.. It should be interesting..
 I like it...

Me neither, I'd rather chew wasps! 😂

He was.

I've flown through bits of it, but only know a couple of the contestants, all very z list IMO.  However, i enjoy watching some of the pro choreographed dances, and there are few opportunities now to hear big bands and singers live.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Yes, I agree with that.   :upvote:  Glad I'm not alone.

Good Morning Britain put a pic up of the chosen Traitors this morning..
What a stupid thing to do.. Spoiler.. I was going to watch it later today..

I quite like the older guy from the series Neighbours who is trying really hard..
I look up when he is on..
Angela Rippon spoilt it for me.. There is something not quiet right in showing an older lady doing the splits and sticking her legs up here and there..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Out of interest, does anyone remember watching the original Come Dancing?  I'm surprised that it hasn't been revived.

I agree.   I have to mute that advert that's on every 5 mins where she does her exercises too.

Can't stand Alan Carr  either.  I think its his voice and childish giggle.

I remember the name,  but can't remember ever watching it.

I just googled it because I couldn't remember when it used to be on and was surprised to see it started in 1950  and ran until 1998.
Wasn't  that the one Bruce Forsythe used to compere?

Dextrous63

Pretty sure Bruce had nothing to do with it Mups.
But Angela Rippon did (towards the end, anyway)

Mups

Oh yes, I think you're right.   Bruce forsythe was the compere in the earlier days of Strictly I believe.

If it was BBC it would either be Forsythe or Graham Norton - they did most things after Saville died and the likes of Stuart Hall, Rolf Harris and others got the sack - I remember Huw Edwards presenting some news item along those lines.
