I have been thinking about getting my winter duvet out soon.   It's a 13 tog,  but been wondering whether to treat myself to a 15 tog this year?
At the moment I still have the summer one on,  with just a throw over the top for the time being.

Which tog duvet do you find most snug for winter nights,   or do you prefer sheets & blanket?

I have a summer duvet all year round. I've put an electric overblanket on the bed between a top sheet and the duvet. I cba with duvet covers.

Not using the overblanket overnight yet. I give it a minute or two blast before getting in at the moment. Later I'll have it on the lowest setting overnight or maybe turn it off during the night
When it gets really cold I may add a throw over the duvet.

I've just bought a new duvet 10.5 tog, very lightweight but warm. We have brushed cotton bedding that will go on soon, and a throw if it gets really cold.  I like a hot water bottle to take off the initial chill.

Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

I normally have the window open a bit too,  but not during Spider season.
Don't want to wake up and find I've got a bed mate.

We keep finding spiders in various spaces, but I just leave them to it.
There are no dangerous spiders in this country, and those we find in the house have probably been living in it for a long time before they are noticed.  They are harmless and, other than building webs, usually in remote corners, they do no damage.
I believe that spiders found inside the house are here simply because that is their natural environment; they could probably not survive outside.  Before too long, they will die a natural death and when I find a dead one, I simply put it in the bin.

I've put my flannelette sheets on the bed, and last night the leccy blanket although I haven't switched it on yet.
I think my winter duvet is 15 tog but not too heavy as it's feathers.

Ooh,  I bet that's lovely and cosy, Alex.
I'd want to stay in bed all day.

I just sleep under a fairly heavy blanket- lighter one when it's hot, but when it's cold the heating stays on
Thank you for the days, the days you gave me

I often have cold feet in bed too,  well in the colder weather anyway.
So out come my fluffy bed sox.   A real passion killer ey.
