Thank you folks,  for thinking of me and Gertie.

Good news.   Urine was fine,  all the blood tests were fine,  no Cushings disease,  and kidney/bladder scan fine.
It cost me a lot of money to find that out,  but I am so glad I am able to rule those things out now.

Mystery what was going on though.   She is only a little mite, 6.7 kg,  yet she absolutely flooded her bed the other day.   She has never done that in her life,  but what worried me more, was the amount of urine.
She was soaked underneath her body from her chin to her tail,  far, far more urine than a little dog like her could have held.    Her bed was soaked from one end to the other.
When it kept on happening over the next few days, I knew I had to get it checked out incase she had either Cushings,  or an infection.

So its a mystery,  but she has been all clean and dry for the last few days, so I can only wait and watch and see how she goes.

Thanks all those who wished her well.  I love that little dog,  and I'm sure it helped her.

(Not sure how 'Pets'  got in the digital phone thread - sorry).

Excellent news Mups.

As for the bed wetting, god only knows.  Hopefully it was a random bladder infection of some sort which has worked its way out. 🤞🏻

Alex

I'm glad tests were ok Mups. :upvote:   How old is she ?

Glad to hear your little doggie is OK. it's so worrying when they are not well, and they can't tell us what is wrong

So glad Gertie is fine, I was getting quite worried.  :yay:

Mups

This was her as a pup,  but she is  still much the same.
My other dog, Liffey,  has Cushings,  and this is exactlyl how she started.  so that is why I was panicking,  so I am very, very relieved.   It's a mystery though.  I can only wait and see how she goes.

Alex,   she is 9 yrs old now.
Liffey is 14 after Christmas,  and Liff's grandma, Mups,  was neaarly 17 when she died,  so I am not really worried about Gert's age just yet.

I'm glad she's better now, Mups.
I can well appreciate how you felt.  We have always had cats, and when the inevitable happens and they die (or have to be put down), that is the saddest time we have ever had, even more so than when human relatives or friends die.  I think this is perhaps because they rely on us so much.

Thanks JBR,  and I agree with you.   No matter how many times in our lives we have to do it,  it never, ever gets any easier does it.

When I lost Fleur I was so upset that I swore that I would never have another dog. Then, after a couple of years I began to reconsider, but thankfully didn't take any action. No way could I care for a dog now

That's sad, Michael.
I dread that day happening and being unable to look after another one.  I'd don't think I would do too well without a dog in my life,  as I have never been without one.
My Mum was the same,  so I grew up with them.
