Thanks. I was lucky and you weren't is what it boils down to. That puzzle has less with multiple correct possibilities than some but if set carefully getting there would not include the element of luck. That can't be so for the other games which will all have a large element of luck but with rescue the start position is entirely under the control of the person who sets the puzzle.
