We can be very lucky with our first attempt to get two or more letters correct.  Sometimes though, even when we begin with such a lucky word, it is possible to have to try several missing letters before we get the answer.  I know that I have had that happen before.

I usually just eliminate letters til I've got at least four before I start thinking about it.
