How horrible.  Poor little mite:

  • Baby's body found in stormwater drain

The body of a baby has been found by tradesmen who were cleaning a drain in suburban Perth.
Police responded to reports of a body being located in a stormwater drain in Alexander Heights, 17km north of the CBD, about 1pm on Monday.
Multiple police resources have been deployed to the location of the drain on La Salle Road.

That's horrible.  There'll be a traumatised mother out there somewhere who'll have to live with what she felt she had to do.  No winners here whatsoever.

Tragic.  I wonder if the parents will ever be traced.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

To place a newborn baby, be it dead or alive , into a drain is cruel..
Poor little thing... I hope it was not alive when placed there..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

How sad and cruel at the same time.  Whatever her state on mind, there are better places to leave your baby, poor little lad.

Mups

I have only just realised that this little newborn was dumped in Perth - Australia.
I thought it was Perth,   Scotland.

What on earth can make a Mother do something like that.
Mind you,  I suppose it doesn't have to have been the Mother, does it.
Last I saw, the Police were still looking for the parents.

It can happen anywhere in the world... and it does..
To put a child or creature down a drain is cruel..
No regard for the body ... like throwing away the trash...
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I image it was an attempt to hide the body

Then do the right thing and bury it...
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I don't know the circumstances but maybe no transport and no property? The real question is how did the baby die IMO. Possibly a junkie dumped the child after allowing or casing it to die. Pointless to speculate as it will certainly all come out.

So did I, Michael.
In that article,  it just said 'Perth.'
