It's so long ago, I can't remember.

I doubt my parents would have allowed us making noise outside after 9 pm though.
Would yours?

I've never had noisy neighbours. At least not regularly noisy although there have sometimes been times when parties nearby have got a bit loud as the wine flowed but not on a regular basis.

My daughter had some that regularly used to be smoking weed in the garden that made the place reek. It seems they were selling it too as he got nicked which solved the problem.

We're lucky.  We have well-behaved and quiet neighbours.  There is a small dog on one side, but apart from the occasional bark it is not a problem.
The only really annoying thing is that we have regular attacks by noisy motorbikes along the main road.  I have often wondered why they remove their silencers.  Does it make them sound 'tough' or 'racers'?

If we wanted to, yes, but it rarely applied anyway.

But things were different back then, as you know, and youngsters were less frightened to go out to local parks with maybe a bottle or two of party 7 or double diamond.  Nowadays they're more likely to be attacked by nutters with knives, or approached by drug peddlers selling their wares, or abused by sexual deviants.  No wonder they have to depend more on staying in the relative safety of their and their friends' gardens.

I must have had a stricter upbringing than you then, Dex.

As for sitting in a park boozing,  never done that in my life either.
Perhaps parents were stricter with  daughters.

Daughters are usually do-gooders.  But then, so am I!

Maybe. But this was the leafy suburbs of Chiswick and our house was literally facing Acton Green.  The only dodgy behaviour was from some "queers" (as we so lovingly referred to them back then (Azz would be having a fit if he saw this post🙄🤣)) who occasionally hung round the public toilets.  One of whom was occasionally Tony Hart, doncha know.

I would rather have the sound of children and families enjoying themselves then  a house full of migrants and druggies next door to me..

Why shouldn't families enjoy themselves .!! It is summertime for goodness sake..

The boys near me who would jump up and down on their Trampoline and play football during the (season) are all growing up and driving/ learning to drive cars.. They all speak to me.. and would be here like a shot If I needed their assistance..
If people like it quiet I would suggest that a (community) home might be more suitable for them..
Youngsters and laughter keep you young in my opinion..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

My friend another neighbour told me today that one of the men living there has his kids visiting and she saw him hit his daughter in the garden.  The child was crying at night.  Make light of it, but it's no bloody fun having these people  in our previously quiet road.
