I've got that down as harassment in the workplace.  She should be put in stocks for a few days, with directional loudspeakers aimed at her.

I suppose the thing is today that the police are nothing like as effective as they were wen ah wer a lad.
I think it was May who removed all the experienced and street-wise coppers and brought in her bright ideas of replacing them with university sociology graduates.  These are now the senior ones in charge and are obviously naive lefty coppers with little real on the street experience, but brainwashed in trendy modern ideas which bear little or no semblance to fighting real crime.
They spend more time in looking for 'hurty words' than real criminal activities or even shoplifting.

It's been a while since the police seem to viewed either increasing contempt.  This is (as per usual) due to having to cope with terrible government decisions/policies which raise public hackles.

You never see a copper up here, Thurso Police Station was shut a few years back. I think there's still one over in Wick, but that's 22 miles from the village.

I'm guessing he can't just arrest her or that takes him away from whatever duty he has been assigned and he can't shove her away either. He's just got to put up with it.

Dextrous63

The daft old bat was doing that right in front of his body cam.  Hopefully, they'll be able to identify her and give unto loopy that which is loopy's

klondike

Not sure what she could be charged with. I don't think being an annoying old bat is on the statute.

Harassment.  Public disorder.  Actual bodily harm (attempting to hurt his hearing probably counts).

I'll guarantee they won't bother. Wrong political leaning to be prosecuted.

Assuming that isn't a migrant hotel protest of course. If it was then 6 months minimum.

Dextrous63

If the officer concerned wanted to take a private prosecution out, then that would be well within his rights and highly appropriate.

She stepped well over any form of "reasonable" behaviour.

I agree about the harassment, and public disorder.

Don't think they would get away with 'bodily harm'  though, because 'attempting to hurt'   isn't the same as actually  hurting.

They stopped being constables years ago. They idea that they would see and be seen about, has long been forgotten.
