I trust you'd paint your own mural instead of using paper?

Not had any wallpaper for years.

I recall years back moving into a house we had looked round one evening. It was only 18 months old but was absolutely filthy. The couple had divorced. They must have been friendly for some of the time they were there (please don't ask for details how I worked that out).

Anyway it was a big 4 bedroom house and I papered all of it in about a month and that put me off paper for forever after. One amusing bit was after a few weeks I noticed that one of the small bits you put up over windows was upside down. It stayed that way.

I used to enjoy wallpapering, very satisfying when it s all finished.   I'm told that I can't do it now, ladders are a no-go.  :hmm:  🤕

You could paper up to dado height. 😬😉👍

Re Stan and Hilda's flying ducks, they also had a 'muriel' if I'm nit mistaken! 🤣
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

I remember decorating my young daughters bedroom. Cash was tight and I think we used emulsion painted wood chip with a low dado frieze of cartoon animals.

I was quite proud of the result. I think she liked it too. She liked it so much that she "improved" the little frieze by adding to it using crayons and a biro she'd found somewhere.

I only want the chimney breast papered, at dado height is the mantle piece.  I've got an old fashioned grate which I still like, so that stays.
