I hope I never, ever get stung by one of those as they are bigger than Wasps, so carry even more venom.    I believe they can be quite dangerous.

Mind you,  I react to some gnat bites,  my Mum was the same,  so I sure wouldn't  want to risk a hornet!

Yes indeed Mups the Asiatic  hornet which has now been seen in the U.Kits  all over Europe .
It's big and does kill wasps .

Unfortunately although not aggressive unless it feels threatened it's sting is deadly needs hospital treatment .

I have just read about a woman  on holiday with her family on a caravan park in Skegness this week,  when she disturbed a wasp nest.   They attacked her and she received well over 100 stings!
She said they were crawling through her hair and got inside her clothing.

She was screaming and people came running to help, spraying her with a fire hose  and trying to beat the wasps off her.
The attack went on for over 15 minutes, and Paramedics came.
The lady said she is now healing,  but still traumatised by the experience.

I should bloomin' think so.  I'd have thought she was lucky to be alive.  I would have been terrified.

Sounds horrific. Especially the amount of time it continued.

I'd forgotten but reading that remember I was stung once by a wasp. It was an underground nest in my garden at the time and I just saw the hole.

After I was stung i saw there was a steady stream of wasps in and out. I had no ant and wasp powder at the time and decided to run a hose into the hole. Lucky I wasnt on a meter as I forgot and it ran overnight with no effect at all.

I went out and got some powder and that sorted the problem in no time.
